DOLT BEGÄR: BERÄTTELSEN OM ROLF OCH JEAN
Pride City, Tue 2 Aug 1:00 PM–2:00 PM
HIDDEN DESIRES: THE STORY OF ROLF AND JEAN. SPECIAL GUIDED TOUR DURING STOCKHOLM PRIDE.
The lives and romances of Jean Börlin and Rolf de Maré are the basis for much speculation but also for the founding of Dansmuseet in Stockholm. What role did their different class backgrounds play in how they were perceived in their time? And how was the same-sex desire expressed on the stages of the 1920s through their joint creation of the Swedish Ballet? A guided tour about same-sex desire in a forbidden time, feminine and masculine body expressions and how the story of Jean and Rolf is relevant today.
