Thursday 4th of August at 20:15 - Funeral Parade of Roses

We start of by showing Toshio Matsumotos wild, rebellious and psychedelic "Funeral Parade of Roses".
The film is said to be one of the main inspirations to Stanley Kubricks "A Clockwork Orange", and it's one of the 60's most subversive cult classics.
A journey into the glaringly and obscure part of Tokyo nightlife filled with dragqueens and divas. Engrained with liquor, drugs, music and make-up we follow the transgender woman Eddie who is mixed up in a love triangle involving the club owner and the clubs reigning dragqueen.

Friday the 5th of August 20:00 - Fucking Åmål (Show Me Love)

After that it's time for the beloved 90's classic "Fucking Åmål" or "Show Me Love" as it was called internationally.
Few Swedish films have had such an impact as Lukas Moodyssons full length debut about the teenagers Agnes and Elins love story who premiered 1998. The youngsters rushed to the cinemas, laughed and related to the teenage small town drab, futility and frustation.
It's the latest Nokia cellphones, Saturdays lottery TV, Broder Daniel, love and doubt.

Saturday 6th of August 18:00 - Happy Together

Finally we'll end with Wong Kar-wais celebrated drama "Happy Together".
Ho and Lai travels to Argentina to rekindle their lost passion in their relationship, but instead they find themselves drifting apart. non of them can afford a ticket home and deals with it in their own ways.
Happy Together was Wong Kar-wais breakthrough before In the Mood For Love and is considered one of the best LGBTQ-films from the New Queer Cinema-movement. Wong Kar-wai won the Best Director Award at the Cannes film festival.

Welcome to our lovely little cinema regardless if you're planning to watch a movie or just hang out and have a drink.
