Diplomacy and Pride – being an open ambassador
Eric D Ramanathan, USA; Judith Gough, United Kingdom; Ziv Nevo Kulman, Israel, Carl Magnus Nesser, Sverige

LGBTQ diplomats have always formed part of the diplomatic community but in the past were often forced to hide their orientation. During recent decades of developments things have changed and many diplomats have come out, while foreign ministries have begun to see LGBTQ diplomats as a source of pride.

On this panel we will have three prominent ambassadors from three like-minded countries – the US, the UK and Israel – who will speak about their countries’ and foreign ministries’ LGBTQ inclusion. They will also speak about what it means to be a gay diplomat, sometimes in countries where this is less accepted – and the challenges this entails particularly with regard to spouses and families.

Come meet the LGBT Corps Diplomatique for a fascinating talk – and learn more about diplomacy and Pride!

Admission 30 minutes before the start of the program. Bag checks will take place for security reasons.
