Tre klubbar jag inte får vara med i
Pride House, Thu 4 Aug 1:00 PM–1:45 PM
An intimate monologue about being butch and liking men. A bisexual slap in the face that defies all categories!
Three Clubs I'm Not Allowed In
A show by, with and about Chris Svensson
"The first time I fell in love with a girl, I felt relief that people would now understand the way I look. That it would finally be coherent and understandable. 'Cause the tomboy is always a lesbian. Why else would she want to look like that? What man could want that kind of woman?"
Three Clubs I'm Not Allowed In is a show about trying to navigate the wierdness of heteronormativity the best you can with all the frustration, liberation and confusion that entails. It's a show about things like being butch and liking men, failing at the Woman project and being almost lesbian enough to feel at home with the dykes but not quite. A monologue in every direction about falling between the categories and making yourself a space there.
With poetry, memories, fiery speeches, reflections and diary entries Chris Svensson takes the audience straight into the very personal. The show is in Swedish and English, their native languages.
