Pride House, fre 5 aug 15:00–16:00
The Pride-movement in Turkey has changed and developed since the 2010s. What happened during the first Pride Parade in the country, and how did the Gezi Park-protests in 2013 change the situation for the LGBTI+ community?
We’ll start the panel with a 12-min video summarizing how first-ever pride held in Turkey and what happened and how it developed into 2010s. After the video we'll discuss the relation of feminist and LGBTI+ movements. Then, what changed after 2013 (Gezi Park protests), the situation of LGBTI+ associations and initiatives, and where we stand today.
